THE TOKYO DISNEY AMBASSADOR HOTEL WITH KIDS

THE TOKYO DISNEY AMBASSADOR HOTEL WITH KIDS

This is one of the official Tokyo Disney Resort hotels. I have written about the differences between all of the official hotels at Tokyo Disney here.

*Please note that park entry tickets for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disneysea are NOT included in your hotel price like in some other Disney parks around the world. You will need to buy Tokyo Disney Park tickets separately (I explain how here) or, if you are staying in an official Tokyo Disney Hotel, you can purchase while you check-in for your stay. The exception? If you’ve purchased some sort of vacation package. *.The Tokyo Disney Ambassador Hotel IS an official Tokyo Disney Resort hotel.

Themed room options are available in this hotel – if you’re lucky enough to get one! I really loved our stay at this hotel.

The Tokyo Disney Ambassador Hotel.

This hotel is on the other side of the Ikspiari shopping complex next to Maihama Station – no need to take a shuttle from Tokyo Disneyland or the station – just walk through the shopping complex and it’s on the other side.

On of the main “drawcards” for this hotel is the Chef Mickey breakfast (meet Mickey while you are at brekkie!) Please note that you need to book the hotel AND then the breakfast as it is not guaranteed with your reservation. The smartest way to do this is to book a cancellable night at the hotel and then try for the Chef Mickey breakfast – if it’s not available – switch nights. I must admit – I had a travel agent do this for me as I found it to be too complicated.
Some room rates also include Happy Entry – which means you can enter the park 15 mins before everyone else. In order to take advantage of this – you will need to purchase your tickets at the front reception (don’t worry – Disney tickets never “sell out” for hotel guests as they keep an allotted amount for official hotel guests.

Rooms at the Ambassador are MASSIVE (for Tokyo.). We had a triple room that wasn’t “themed” but it had Mickey and general Disney touches everywhere. I loved how the blackout blinds made the room completely dark.

I was disappointed that this hotel doesn’t have a coin laundry. You can send out for laundry services from your room but we didn’t have time for that (and that’s a really expensive way to wash some socks and undies !)

My kids love the gift shop, the lobby and the bakery. You don’t need to be a guest here to visit the lobby, the gift shop or the disney themed bakery.

and this is the hotel gift shop.

The Official Disney hotel Gift Shops sell the Tokyo Disney mochi keyrings (like a keyring fidget toy as you can squeeze them to see the flavours pop out a little.). These are sold in the official hotel gift shops around Tokyo Disney.
I took this photo at the Toy Story Hotel gift shop.
The REAL Alien Mochi Dumplings inside Tokyo Disneyland. One is choc, another custard and another filled with strawberry cream.

The small diner-looking bakery looks like this.

A PLAYSPACE FOR GUESTS OF THE TOKYO DISNEY AMBASSADOR HOTEL
There is a play area within the hotel for guests to use. It’s a Chip’n’Dale themed room. Please note this isn’t a daycare drop off – it’s not manned – so parents need to stay with their kids. It’s very cute and so lovely and clean. Shoes need to be removed to play here (by adults and children.)
