We have family in Edinburgh and, long story short, we were delayed to Glasgow around 48 hours into travel from Australia. There was just no way we could go any further as we all had eyes falling out of our heads.
The staff here were so kind- even when they heard me butcher my own surname with an aussie accent (haha.)

I booked for us to stay right next to Glasgow Airport for a bath and a sleep before continuing on with the last bit of our journey in the morning.
We stayed in a family room with two double beds at the Courtyard by Marriott, Glasgow Airport – I was delighted that it also had a bath in the room, a big bustling restaurant downstairs (that was also used for breakfast) and a little 24 hour convenience store style shop next to reception.
The convenience store has a microwave for guests to use and it also sells toiletries , including baby shampoo.
How close to Glasgow Airport is the Courtyard by Marriott, Glasgow Airport?
We could have walked in 12-15 mins from arrivals but, as I said above, we were absolutely knackered so we took a 5 min cab from the taxi rank instead. Worth it with all of our luggage, for sure.
Does the Courtyard by Marriott, Glasgow Airport have room service?
It does! There is a 7 pound charge for delivery into the room OR you can have them call you from the restaurant and you can collect it from there yourself.
Here are my more general tips (it’s a long long article as I add all of the little details) for flying with kids.

What is breakfast like at the Courtyard by Marriott, Glasgow Airport ?
The breakfast buffet here is really, really good! Especially compared to other options in countries like Italy or France (but that’s because I don’t value a continental cold-items only breakfast.) Of course there weren’t any yummy asian options but we did love the hot food, fruit and yoghurt as well as juices, cereals and pastries. The staff here are so so so kind. One of the wait staff kindly filled out drink bottles with yummy Scottish tap water – a few times over. They have lots and lots of wooden high chairs with safety straps in the restaurant here too.
