THE GRAND NIKKO TOKYO BAY MAIHAMA WITH KIDS (NEXT TO DISNEY)

Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama
This hotel has such a kooky lobby and is known for having nice long beds (great for tall people!)
There is a shuttle to the Disney Resort Liner (or you can just walk for 5 mins to the Resort Liner station.)
Rooms are bigger than most Tokyo hotel rooms.  This hotel offers cots / cribs for guests – but only for babies who are not yet able to stand. See here for my list of hotels that have cots for babies older than 12 months of age.
This hotel has a pool but it is only open from the first week of July through to mid-September.  The pool is not free for guests (can cost as much as 6000 yen per person per day.) Children in swimming diapers are allowed to swim here.

I only recommend staying at this hotel if you are visiting the Tokyo Disney area as it’s quite a commute into the main parts of Tokyo. This is very much an “either side of Disney days” spot.

It’s not a fancy hotel but it does have everything you could need for a day at the Disney Parks. Apologies to this hotel but I recommend not getting a breakfast included package as you will be out at the park early (if you like rides like we do and are aware of how the fast pass system works). It’s SO lovely and close to the parks and I LOVE how there is a direct airport limousine bus from Narita and Haneda Airports right to the hotel – with kids – so nice! We took the limousine bus from Haneda and it took just 25 mins AND they put our luggage under the bus! – no need for looking for train platforms or even working out how to get there!
So so so good!

Reserve Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama for your family because:
-it’s so close to both Disney parks!
-they have their own airport limousine shuttle to and from Narita and Haneda airports
-they have a free shuttle to Maihama Station (just next to Tokyo Disneyland)
-they are 3 mins walk from the Tokyo Disney Liner’s Bayside Station
-they have big rooms (by Tokyo standards)
-they have longer beds than average so it is great if someone in your family is tall
-they have an indoor pool year round (although they don’t allow tattoos and pool use is extra)
-they have an onsite coin laundry.

When you make a reservation, PLEASE don’t make a mistake and mix it up with the Grand Nikko in Odaiba. It’s not next to Disney.

Eating Edamame & Corn ( a side dish from Japanese McDonalds ) in our room at Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama. This is from the McDonalds at Ikspiari in the Disney area.
