My number one recommendation by far is Nikko Style Nagoya. I have written in great detail here about this hotel (including nearby drugstores, restaurants for families, play spaces etc) – many of my readers tell me that it is their favourite hotel in Japan and after staying here – I now know why!) . The staff are kind and the rooms are spacious.

Another accommodation recommendation in Nagoya with kids
If you are looking for a simple but clean place to stay then I recommend business hotel chain Sotetsu Fresa. The Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nagoya Sakuradoriguchi is a great option – the rooms are small but you can get connecting rooms if you need. There is a Mister Donut downstairs. There is an on-site coin laundry for guests to use anytime on the second floor. There is also a breakfast option for guests at Mister Donut. It is 4 mins walk from Nagoya Station (take the Sakuradori Exit.)

A hotel in Nagoya with free ice-cream for kids everyday!
Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya have free ice-cream for kids each day and a little toiletry kit too. Most rooms are for 2 adults (and a child if they are small enough to bedshare.) For a bigger family you would need two rooms. They have an in-house restaurant with a breakfast buffet. Closest station is Fushimi Station so it’s not as convenient as my other options.
