LEGOLAND RESORT HOTEL, NAGOYA

LEGOLAND RESORT HOTEL, NAGOYA

As special treat we decided to spend two nights at the Legoland Resort Hotel in Nagoya.
We stayed either side of a day spent at Legoland Japan.

Please be sure to not get mixed up  between the Legoland Discovery Centres in Tokyo and Osaka (these are much smaller indoor lego themed centres.) to

On the way to Legoland Japan from the station, you will walk through a food and entertainment area called “Maker’s Pier.” It’s a good spot for dinner with kids (and a play as there is a big slide and other activities.) I’ve written about it here.

OUR ROOM AT THE LEGOLAND JAPAN RESORT HOTEL
I booked us a room on the Kingdom floor.
There are many types of floors -Pirates, Kingdom, Adventure, Lego Friends and Lego Ninjago.
Warning: the rooms are so colorfully decorated that they are like a wild fever dream.

When we checked in we were given a little welcome pack and a treasure hunt for the kids to complete once we entered the room. They loved it.

THE REALLY FUN ELEVATORS AT THE LEGOLAND RESORT IN JAPAN
The fun part is that the elevator between the floors becomes a disco between the floors. We had a little dance party every time we went somewhere!

THE RESTAURANTS AT THE LEGOLAND JAPAN HOTEL
We ate at the Bricks Family Restaurant once for dinner and also for breakfast.
Although I didn’t find the food quality or taste to be that great, I did enjoy the giant lego playground inside the restaurant – which meant we spent much longer there as the kids just didn’t want to leave.

Legoland Resort Hotel Indoor Playground

The playground area is free for guests to use between 6am-11am and 4pm-10pm.
Bricks Family Restaurant is open for dinner from 5:30pm-9pm (final admission is at 8pm.)

There is also a bar just next to the restaurant called the Skyline Bar which is open from 5pm-9pm.

Inside the hotel is a water play area on the ground floor. It’s not a pool. More like a playground with a small amount of water.
Please be sure to book as soon as you check in as the spots fill up quickly.   It costs 2000 yen per room to use the water play area.

I’ve actually written in great detail about the Legoland Resort Hotel and Legoland in general for Japan Travel Planning here if you would like to read.

As you can probably tell, we didn’t think the food at the Legoland Resort Hotel was very good so we preferred to eat at Maker’s Pier – a restaurant and entertainment area just next door. I’ve written about it in detail here.
