TERMINAL 3 at Haneda Airport is, mostly likely the terminal you will find yourself at most as a tourist in Japan as Terminal 3 is the International Terminal.
Haneda Airport is the closer airport to central Tokyo. It doesn’t offer as many flight options so we still have to use Narita often – but, when we can, we always choose Haneda.

Stroller Rental
Haneda International Airport also rents out free baby strollers (for use in the airport.). Stroller rental here is free and can be collected from the information counter or the check in counters.

THINGS TO DO AT TERMINAL 3 AT HANEDA AIRPORT WITH KIDS
Extra tip for Haneda Terminal 3!
Before you go through security go up to the 5th floor to check out the outdoor observation deck (especially if you have a kid who adores planes!) There is also a Hakunkinkan Toy Store that sells really cute souvenirs, magician related toys AND has a remote control car race track (300 yen for 5 mins.) It’s really cute and fun.
On the same floor is a Don Quijote ( well it’s a smaller Don Quijote so the title of the store is Soradonki (Sky Don Quijote) – a great way to use up the last of the yen in your wallet. I usually go to here and just fill the suitcase up with last minute Japanese snacks, gum and skincare.
Check out Godzilla in the main lobby (can be spotted as soon as you walk into the departures section.
If you have a little one who is obsessed with dinosaurs and/or godzilla – you are going to LOVE all of my recommendations here.
Make use of the soft play space
There is a soft play area for kids just next to Cafe 146 and a store called Books and Drugs once you’re inside security (just before you board.) It’s the cutest.
WHERE TO EAT IN HANEDA AIRPORT TERMINAL 3 WITH KIDS?
The restaurant selection at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 is incredible – there used to be zero options once you were inside security but that has recently changed (we love a pizza shop called Chaya and there is also gyoza, tempura and sushi.) For the most options though? my advice is to go to the airport early – check in your luggage but then go upstairs for an amazing last meal.
The restaurants are especially amazing on the 4th floor…
Hyakuzen (Japanese food, Tempura, Sashimi, Donburi ie.veggie, seafood and meat dishes served on rice)
To eat here at lunchtime I would budget for around 2000 yen per adult and for dinner time- around 3000 yen.
This restaurant welcomes families with children.

The interior of this restaurant reminds me of a modern Japanese hotel.
The kids meal is so cute. It’s served on a plane shaped plate. It is 1,320 yen.

This restaurant is on the 3rd Floor of Terminal 3 inside the Royal Park Hotel
They have high chairs and space to store strollers. They also have kids plates and are happy to heat up baby food and provide boiling water for parents to make up formula.

If you have left it too late and have got through security etc- there is a restaurant called “All Day Air Dining: Tokyo Sky Kitchen“. There are several vegan options here – including a vegan Japanese curry pan (curry bread) at a pizza shop called Chaya.
I go it in a takeaway pizza box so we could eat it while sitting near the gate.
If you’ve forgotten to pack something for kids to play with on the plane…
I recommend popping into the book store on the 4th floor of Haneda Terminal 3 (before security.) The book on the left is great for little kids as they can put different faces (eyes and nose and ears etc) on different faces on each page. Gluten free options at Terminal 2 at Haneda Airport
There is a cafe before security called Healthy Tokyo. They have some gluten free snacks and a gluten free, vegan lasagna.
Airport Grill & Bar (Steaks & Hamburger Steaks)
I would budget around 2000 yen for adult meals here.
This restaurant accepts most major credit cards. They have a kids menu and also space to store a stroller while you dine.
The kids meal is served in a little airplane plate and includes a little hamburger steak, a hard boiled egg, fried prawn, veggies and a little creme caramel for dessert.

Hitoshinaya
This is the most beautiful place to enjoy a traditional japanese breakfast at Haneda for 1700 yen per person. They accept most major credit cards. It’s on the second floor before you go through security. Breakfast is served between 5:30am-2:30pm. They welcome families and have space for you to store a stroller while you dine.

Saiho, Chinese Restaurant
At the Marketplace 3 section on the 3rd floor is a Chinese Restaurant called “Saiho“
For adults meals I would budget 2000 yen for lunch and 3000 yen for dinner.

Curry Dining Abion (Japanese Curry Rice)
This curry restaurant is on the B1 Floor of Terminal 1. And, while they don’t have a kids menu, they do have space for strollers, kid-friendly cutlery and plates.
Curry Dining Abion are also happy to provide boiling water to make up baby formula.
They are also happy to heat up baby food for customers.
Curry Dining Abion are happy to adjust the spice level of their curries to make them easier for children to eat.

Royal Host (Family Restaurant)
On the 4th Floor of Terminal 1. This is a very easy place to dine with children. Royal Host have high chairs (and many of them are the type with the seatbelts), place to store strollers, a kids menu, kid-friendly plates and they are also happy to heat up baby food and also provide boiled water for parents to make up baby formula.
Musashi No Mori Coffee
This cafe has all the wax meal replicas in the glass case outside. Great for families. The cuisine is mostly Hawaiian & Youshoku (westernised Japanese food such as omurice). Did you know that the kids’ meal here is gluten free? They accept most major credit cards. Each meal is better 1000-2000 yen.
