TYRE PLAYGROUND (NISHI ROKUGO KOEN)

Tyre Park (real name : Nishi Rokugo Koen)
Not even many locals know about the treasure that is the Tyre Park (real name : Nishi Rokugo Koen)  Warning: if you don’t like your kiddies getting dirty – this one isn’t for you. It’s also right next to the trainline so great for trainlovers like my little boy.

Almost every part of this playground is made from recycled tyres.  3000 to be exact.  There is also a very large concrete slide.  Don’t bother if it’s rainy as there isn’t a lot of shade.  However, the muddy puddle splashing spots are endless so it’s fantastic just after a rainy few days (with changes of clothes in hand, of course.) I’d also take a picnic or at least snacks as my guess is that your kiddies will want to stick around for a while.    It’s 30 minutes on the train from Tokyo Station to Zoshiki Station and then 10 mins on foot.
