Locker storage at train stations and airports is the usual option for shorter term luggage ( you can also use the Echo app to find out options close by.).
So here are some options for longer term luggage storage in Japan.
Use the website Vertoe – this website will show you availability as well as pricing.
It is also possible to book online and then storage your luggage at one of the larger post offices in Japan.
