KYU ASAKURA HOUSE, DAIKANYAMA

KYU ASAKURA HOUSE ( BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE HOUSE FOR SIGHTSEEING)
I can’t believe I didn’t go here earlier!
Did you know there is a beautiful old Japanese house right in the middle of Daikanyama?  Only 2 minutes walk from Daikanyama T-site!
This house was designated as an ‘Important Cultural Property’ in 2004.
The property is called Kyu Asakura House and entry is 100 yen.

I recommend visiting Kyu Asakura House as part of a Daikanyama with Kids or Ebisu with Kids itinerary.

It’s a beautiful spot to take a walk with kiddies.  We spend about 20-30 minutes here with kids (maybe less with adults?) and I’d advise leaving strollers near the house entrance as there are stairs both inside and outside the building.

I didn’t spot a restroom within the grounds so it’s probably best to use the facilities at T-site beforehand.
