BREAKFAST + PLUM BLOSSOMS + PARK

BREAKFAST + PLUM BLOSSOMS + PARK

BREAKFAST + PLUM BLOSSOMS + PARK = EVERYBODY HAPPY!!!

Here is a little morning suggested itinerary for a morning with the family during plum blossom season.
Where have you spotted Plum blossoms so far this year?
We found a few gorgeous trees in Komazawa Olympic Park, Setagaya, this weekend. It was pink and pretty and made me sooo excited for spring. BUT as anyone with little kids can imagine… my kids were excited for a whole 3.5 minutes about some flowers.
So I’m glad we went out for breakfast beforehand and then a park playground afterwards.

We actually came here for Hanami (cherry blossom picnic/viewing) last year but were a tad early.

Beforehand we went to breakfast at Mr. Farmer just on the edge of the park.  It is such a cool, vibey space (with a beautiful outdoor terrace.)
We arrived last Sunday at 9:30am and no-one was there! It was us an about 2 other people in the whole restaurant! By 10:30 it was almost full though – with lots of joggers, cyclists and other people with young families.
They have high chairs and a change table too so it’s very easy to dine here with small children.

I am still thinking about my egg white and mushroom omelette. It was huge!
My fussy little guy loved my Zenbi smoothie too. I may have shed a tear as he is running away from anything healthy right now.  (There are lots of other Mr Farmer restaurants in Tokyo – see website below for details- but I this was, in my opinion, the best!)

And then we did walked for a few minutes, through the park, past the plum blossoms, to Buta Koen (Pig Park).
We’ve been here a few times before and my kids love it here so much (You may have already found it in my Retro Tokyo Parks post.)
