KAISEKI WITH KIDS IN NARA

KAISEKI WITH KIDS IN NARA

Kaiseki is a traditional Japanese multi-course meal – the meal is not only about the food but the presentation and, as it is designed to be a dining experience the food is brought out quickly slowly and in the order decided by the chef , by the seasonal ingredients and often the location of the restaurant.

Kaiseki is a slow, fine dining experience, this is not an easy feat with small children.

One opportunity to enjoy kaiseki in Japan with children is a restaurant called Edosan in Nara.

Edosan
The restaurant is within a ryokan, a Japanese style inn.  It also operates as a restaurant.  No walk-ins as all diners must have reservation.  In the colder months, hot pot dining is an option as well as Kaiseki.
Please note that this restaurant has a smoking and non-smoking section.
The closest station is Kintetsu Nara Station- 800 m walk.
Lunch budget is approx 15,000 yen &  30,000 yen for dinner.  Edosan accepts most major credit cards.
